Curvy Showgirl Slays Halloween

Welcome back curvies! It’s been six months since my last update and I’m back for more curvy blogging! Halloween is my favorite time of year and I love to get all dressed up and fancy!

This year I wanted to be bold and step into a costume that would highlight my personality and yet show off my curvy curves. Soooooo…I decided to be a curvaceous showgirl. I love to dance and I planned to dance at an event with a local samba dance company so it all worked out.

If you are familiar with my headpiece I finished months ago, I used that as my starting point. I’ve been wanting to wear blue and gold for the longest and Halloween was the perfect time to get creative.

It all started with a blue bathing suit I’ve had for over a year.

I literally found this bathing suit at the back of my closet while trying to find my gold samba heels. I thought I would need to purchase a blue leotard from Amazon, but I saved my money and used something I already had. Heck yeah!!!

After taking some time to determine how to decorate this bad boy, I decided fringe would be best to cover my azz-sets. I needed a family-friendly costume for this event. Anyway, I’m pretty conservative when it comes to the curvy goods. Plus, the hubby is always on the look out when I’m leaving the house with no pants on. LMAO!!

If you haven’t noticed a pattern, creating unique things is my form of self-care. I am usually creating sparkly things late into the night as a stress reliever. When I am able to wear my own creations, I am walking on water.

It is so important to find something that makes you happy. My self-care is dance and learning how to create unique items for dance. What is your special form of self-care?

Group Class Etiquette: Curvy Girls Maintaining Civility at the Gym

Group class etiquette has fallen by the wayside. Since my health and fitness journey began, in many group exercise classes, I’ve noticed there are those who feel as if they either own the establishment, and those who make others totally uncomfortable with their rude tendencies.
